Rockingham is pleased to be supporting three charities for 2008, details of which can be found below.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes for children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Founded in the UK in 1986, the charity has granted more than 4,700 wishes.

The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) costs around £1.4 million a year to run, which is supported entirely through voluntary donations. The helicopter flies out of Coventry, and operates seven days a week providing a life-saving service.

Lakelands Day Care Hospice in Corby provides a vital service, which is entirely free – to patients and carers experiencing the affects of cancer and end stage heart failure. It costs around £300,000 per year to run, which it has to raise through fundraising.
