Rockingham Appoints New Head of Sales & Events

THE senior management team at Rockingham has been further strengthened following the appointment of a new Head of Sales & Events.
Jane Wade has joined the Northamptonshire circuit from former leading event management specialists European Events, and brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
The 35-year-old has always worked within the sales, events and marketing industry and has gained vast knowledge and experience in these fields over her 14-year career.
Jane began her career as a sales rep with Douglas Gill International selling to retail outlets, and during her seven years with the company gained a diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
She joined European Events in 2002 as marketing manager and gained her Masters Degree in Leisure Marketing. Jane was promoted to head of the sales team before joining the board of directors.
Jane is looking forward to being part of a well-established Rockingham team and building on the success of previous years.
“Rockingham is a market leader when it comes to corporate driving days and is very well respected among the automotive and motor racing industry,” said Jane.
“At the moment clients come to Rockingham because they have an interest in either motor racing or cars and want to add to their events however I want to give them another reason for choosing the venue.
“The circuit has some of the best conferencing and hospitality facilities in the country as well as the UK’s largest outdoor showground, which are not being used to full potential.
“As part of my role it is my responsibility to build on this area and utilise these facilities much more to help to transform Rockingham into a regional centre for conferencing and events.”
Originally from London, Jane moved to Northamptonshire from the capital 13 years ago. She has now made the county her home and lives in Chapel Brampton with her husband David and two young daughters, Imogen and Harriet.
