As in previous years, next Sunday (March 26) sees the BARC SBD Speed Championship making a welcome return to Rockingham for the first round of 2017 for this well established series. The following seven months will see our drivers competing at venues across the UK before returning to the Northamptonshire circuit in October for what is sure to be a fantastic finale.
Catering for every kind of vehicle from standard production to single-seater racing cars, the 2017 BARC SBD Speed Championship will deliver 24 competitive rounds at some of the best circuit, sprint and hillclimb venues in the country.
The first round at Rockingham has become a popular event and we are sure this year won’t be an exception. Drawing competitors from across the UK, it’s guaranteed to result in a superb collection of cars and some spectacular sprinting action.
The continued support of title sponsor SBD Motorsport, along with established category sponsors, means the championship will feature the Rally Communications Limited Top Six Challenge, Emerald Award, Down to Earth Ladies Challenge, Insite Graphics Challenge Trophy and the Raymond Good Joinery FTD Handicap Award once again.
