The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) raises the curtain on a new season of club racing at Rockingham over the weekend of April 8/9,  with a great programme of races.

Joining BARC for the two-day meeting will be Rockingham favourites, the Pickup Truck Championship, which always guarantee to deliver maximum excitement with the usual full-throttle American-style racing on Europe’s fastest racing circuit.

Always popular with the home crowd, spectators can expect bumper-to-bumper racing on the UK’s only banked Oval, with qualifying on Saturday followed by up to three hotly contested adrenalin-fuelled races on the Sunday.

In addition to the action from the Pickup Trucks, there will be at qualifying and racing on the International Super Sportscar Circuit courtesy of the Kumho BWM Championship, Classic Touring Car Championship and the Junior Saloon Championship.

Celebrating its 30th year in British motorsport, the Kumho BWM Championship never fails to impress with its large grids and close racing. Open to all models of the German car, both past and present, this series provides competitors with the step up from track days to racing.

Bringing a touch of nostalgia to the race weekend, the Classic Touring Car Championship will definitely provide something for everyone as it turns back the clock to yesteryear with its collection of racing saloons from pre-1966 right through to the more modern era of 2005.

Also on the timetable and representing the next generation is the Junior Saloon Car Championship. With exciting and close racing at a low cost, this race series is ideal for 14 to 17-year-old drivers to get behind the wheel and put their racing prowess to the test.
