Rockingham Hits The Shops To Promote Bank Holiday Race Meeting

THE Rockingham team is heading to Leicester’s Highcross Shopping Centre tomorrow (Saturday, August 19), to promote next weekend’s (August 26.27) Bank Holiday action from the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championships.

The Corby-based circuit has teamed up with MG Racing RCIB Insurance and Richardson Racing to give visitors to St Peter’s Square the opportunity to get check out a sample of the racing cars which will be in action at Rockingham the following weekend.

On display will be the manufacturer-back MG British Touring Car run by Triple Eight Race Engineering, while flying the flag for the support race series is Corby-based Richardson Racing, currently racing in both the Ginetta Junior and F4 British Championships.

Members of the public will also have chance to grab themselves a bargain, as there will be an exclusive on the day offer on British Touring Car Championship event tickets. Anyone visiting the stand will be able to save a whopping 25 per cent on both weekend and Sunday passes.

Rockingham Chief Executive Peter Hardman, said: “We’re very passionate about making motorsport accessible to fans and Rockingham prides itself on providing a great entertaining day out for all the family.
